Jennifer M Rouse, DVM CCRP
Dr. Rouse has been in general small animal practice since 2001. She is a 1993 North Carolina State graduate and a 2000 North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. After interning at a small animal specialty practice in Maryland, she practiced in Raleigh, North Carolina until 2005. In 2005, she relocated to the Philadelphia area where she has been practicing since then. While practicing as a solo general practitioner, she completed her certification as a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CCRP) at the University of Tennessee’s program in June 2014. In June 2021, she left general practice to pursue a full time Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Medicine practice. She is currently pursuing her Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapist certification (chiropractic care for animals.) Her experience includes emergency medicine, surgery, general medicine, and preventative care. Her professional interests include canine sports medicine and surgery, pain management, anesthesiology, general surgery (orthopedic and soft tissue), reconstructive surgery and chronic wound management and rehabilitation medicine. She obtained her certification as a PennHip member in 2004 and has a special interest in hip dysplasia and disorders of the stifle. She also offers regenerative medicine and has performed both Stem Cell and Platelet Rich Plasma treatments for her patients.
She currently splits her time between her new practice in Havertown, PA and spending time on her family’s farm in North Carolina with her husband, son and four dogs: a Border Collie and three Border Staffies. In her free time, she enjoys competing with her dogs in flyball, disc dog events and Barn Hunt. Other hobbies include organic gardening, home renovation, and backyard fun with the dogs.
